Aria Wiratama
Founder & Managing Director
Credentials: B.Sc. in Hospitality Management (STP NHI Bandung), Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), 20+ years in Indonesian luxury hospitality (ex-Aman Resorts, Four Seasons).
Bio: A native of Lombok, Aria’s vision for Gili Islands Voyages stems from a lifetime spent exploring these waters. After a distinguished career managing some of Indonesia’s most iconic luxury resorts, Aria returned home to create a service that captures the authentic spirit of the islands with the world-class standards he champions. He personally oversees our partner selection process and maintains high-level relationships with government bodies like the Kementerian Pariwisata (Ministry of Tourism) to ensure our operations are always best-in-class.
Captain I Komang Sudira
Head of Maritime Operations
Credentials: Ahli Nautika Tingkat II (ANT II) Marine Certificate, STCW Certified, Advanced Sea Survival & Firefighting, 15+ years as Captain on private yachts and phinisi schooners.
Bio: Safety and excellence on the water are Komang’s domains. A highly respected captain from Bali, he is responsible for the recruitment, training, and certification of all our vessel crews. He implements rigorous maintenance schedules that exceed the requirements set by the Ditjen Perhubungan Laut and ensures every vessel in our curated fleet is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation and safety equipment. His deep knowledge of the Lombok Strait’s currents and weather patterns is invaluable to crafting safe and comfortable Gili Islands voyages.
Siti Aminah
Senior Voyage Concierge
Credentials: Certified Tour Guide (HPI – Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia), Member of ASITA (Association of The Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies), Fluent in English, Sasak, and Bahasa Indonesia.
Bio: Siti is the heart of our guest experience. Born and raised in the village of Pemenang on the Lombok mainland facing the Gilis, she possesses an encyclopedic knowledge of the region’s culture, history, and hidden gems. Siti works directly with our guests to translate their dreams into a detailed itinerary, from arranging private cooking classes with a local chef to coordinating seamless transfers from Lombok International Airport (LOP) with our IATA-accredited travel partners.
Dr. Bayu Pratama
Sustainability & Community Impact Advisor
Credentials: Ph.D. in Marine Biology (Universitas Gadjah Mada), PADI Divemaster, Published researcher on coral reef ecology.
Bio: Dr. Bayu guides our commitment to responsible tourism. He is not just an advisor but an active participant in our mission, developing our sustainability protocols, training our guides in marine conservation best practices, and managing our partnerships with organizations like the Gili Eco Trust and WWF Indonesia. He leads our coral planting initiatives and ensures our voyages contribute positively to the delicate marine ecosystem we are privileged to explore.
Isabella Chen
Head of Partnerships & Quality Assurance
Credentials: MBA in International Business, Certified Quality Auditor (ISO 9001), 10 years in luxury travel procurement.
Bio: Isabella is the guardian of our brand’s promise. She is responsible for the meticulous vetting and ongoing evaluation of every partner in our network, from private villas to dive operators. Her team conducts scheduled and unannounced site inspections based on the strict criteria outlined in our Our Methodology page.
